I'm gonna get personal, here.
What the fuck do you have against Quill?
This guy has been there for all of you. He's forgiven you for very wrong things you've said or did. He's attempted to make you feel loved and welcomed.
I didn't even like the guy when I first met him.
You've known him for years!! Jesus!
He's proven to be a reliable, dependable and worthy friend.
If I were to have to choose someone to back me up, he's the guy. That fucking dick.

Thank you for saying that, man.
No worries though; although I do get animated about the subject, I am secure in knowing that I'm not the dick I'm often reputed to be by some/most.
And being a good friend - a good person - is something I do simply because it's who I am. For me, it is its own reward; "intrinsic good" if you will.
My fate seems to be that resembling something of a martyr. I do "good" things that are later forgotten too casually; and I'm wrongfully labeled a "bad" person for my troubles. The people who label me as such vary from situation.
But hey...if THIS is the only constant 'hardship' I have to deal with, I'm better off than some. One might even say I should 'suck it up' and deal. Heh. Anyway, thanks for the defense. Much appreciated.
I guess either:
A) Nobody's read this.
B) Nobody cares.
C) They have nothing to say b/c you're right.
D) They have no response b/c they figure THEY'RE right anyway.
A) is pretty unlikely, given the blog-readership is strong. B) is pretty believable; not a lot of people speak their mind on inter-group issues. C) is what SHOULD be the case. And anyone subscribing to D) is just an idiot anyway.
Then again, we shouldn't forget E (not the Entertainment Network).
I mean: E)Those being referenced that actually do read have no fucking clue what is being discussed.
I go with E).
But I'm not naming names, since there are many instances comitted by many and by what I've already seen, those bitching and whining and (I guess) misunderstandings have all left the realm of their grey matter.

Okay, okay, okay...
I admit it, alright? Obviously, I really AM the asshole people say I am. That's why I go out of my way to help everyone that I can with their problems. That's why I've put myself in a position to where I could get hurt to defend someone else. That's why I think of others feelings when at all possible. Because I'm just a bad guy when it comes down to it.
I act with selflessness for selfish reasons. It all makes total sense now.
P.S. ...and THIS is the mentality of these people.
